Italian is easier than French, the pronunciation has no exceptions, you pretty much pronounce it as you read it. The grammar is no harder than French, and no noun declination as in Latin. Many words are very similar to French. The only problem I had when learning Italian was I ended up unlearning a bit of my rusty French, as at first my brain thought it was learning more French. Only once I was comfortable with Italian did my French come back again.
References :
Learnt French in High School and lived in Italy for 4 years

I am sure you will not have trouble learning Italian, because most words are from the Latin language..
You will be suprised how many words are very similiar,in the different languages.
 Good luck.
References :
you have a bit of an advantage by speaking French since italian and french are both romance languages they are similar in speech. However, you might have a hard time breaking away from French speech since it is similar. You will do just great its not all that difficult!
References :
Italian and French are both Romantic languages and they are very similar to each other. If you know French well enough, you can probably pick up Italian and even Spanish pretty quickly. I studied French for 5 years back in HS and college and I can pick up Spanish/Italian words here and there that look like it's French counterparts.
References :
I think that it wouldn't be very difficult for you since you already speak 2 languages that come from latin.
