i want a great online place for free... where i will truly learn to speak french... considering i know none at all....

How can you learn French online and for free.
Make sure it's a proper site, not some crap.
Sure, I've learned a ton of French through two important sites.
1) www.shartedtalk.com
2) www.livemocha.com

There are plenty of free websites but if you want to learn in a structured way, you may consider paying for a solid program. Free is good but not good enough if you are committed.
